Revlon Papaya ColorBurst Lipgloss

The sun's out, the heat's rising, my hay fever's going mental - yes, summertime is well and truly on it's way! And with the brightness of the season comes the inspiration to use more vivid colours in your cosmetics; which is why I'm finding it harder and harder to resist this juicy, juicy lip treat...

Revlon ColorBurst in shade 020 Papaya is a vivid coral pink lipgloss packed full of tiny flecks of golden shimmer. Possessing a trick known as Elasticolor Technology (?!?!) the formula claims to "hug lips with bursts of feather light colour." Applying with a gorgeously flexible doe foot wand, this texture really is a one-swipe-and-you're-done job.

Papaya Lipgloss swatched

Whilst the scent isn't perhaps the most pleasant to wear, the gloss itself is neither overly sticky or gloopy. In fact, those of you who find lipgloss uncomfortable might be able to tolerate the general feeling of this product. In terms of finish, I'm a sucker for anything that makes my lips look polished and plumped, and this formula definitely does just that. The colour is rich and fresh with a delicious 'wet' shine, adding instant volume and fullness to the appearance of your pout. Not bad for £7.99.

Payaya Lipgloss applied to heavily pigmented lips

Papaya is a shamelessly summery shade, and thanks to it's semi-sheerness would certainly suit the vast majority of skin tones. Whilst longevity is neither outstanding or poor, I found the colour and shine benefitted from regular top ups in order to keep the general richness of the full effect.

As far as an instant pick me up goes, Papaya is the perfect candidate for quickly lifting the complexion thanks to it's radiant colour and glossy sheen.

Revlon ColorBurst Lipgloss in Papaya is available from selected retailers worldwide and boots.com for £7.99.

ohh that looks yummmy! Kinda reminds me of Chanel's Glossimer in 149 Nakar which is one of my all time favourite glosses!

Thanks for sharing.. I might just drop by revlon and grab this!

Pretty! Revlon has really lifted it's game with it's Colorburst range.

I can see myself wearing this in warmer weather (although we're having an unusually chilly autumn at the moment in Australia brr)

I have Papaya too and I love everything about it except for the smell! Luckily, I don't feel like it lingers but it still bothers me that they didn't even attempt to make it neutral or somewhat pleasant. It looks lovely on you though!

What is up with Revlon and that SMELL? I got a different Revlon gloss the other day and it's just awful. How have they not gotten the idea to change it?????
